Suitable testing and training facilities for autonomous vehicles

Tau Autonomy Center (TAC) was established early 2020 to meet the industry’s need for suitable testing and training facilities for autonomous vehicles covering both aerial and subsea drones. Additionally, Tau Autonomy Center would offer excellent subsea conditions for testing and qualifying subsea remotely controlled technology in general.

Tau Autonomy Center is owned by seven local industry entities and opportunity identifier Greater Stavanger with equal parts of the company. At the time of establishing TAC, Oceaneering and National Oilwell Varco Seabox had already initiated world class subsea technology qualification activities in the area. Moreover, aerial drone operator KVS Technologies had established their test-  and training center in Tau.

Tau Autonomy Center is located in located in Tau Næringspark
